While there is a good deal of evidence that the earlobe's shape enhances directional hearing (Batteau comes to mind), you are listing some very precise supposed consequences of losing them, where is that comming from? Seems highly contentious, since some people are born without earloabes and I've never heard of them having such issues to such a degree, not to mention them being widespread. You can still tell left from right, because you have two ears with distance between them, but you're no longer able to tell if a sound is coming from e.g. front-left/right just out of peripheral vision, or rear left/right. Same as well for whether it's above or below you, in fact. You'd still (with enough time to relearn) be able to tell when something is directly left/right as opposed to more front/back/up/down, as the directly-to-the-side one would sound different in the opposing ear than the others. If you're really skilled you might even be able to tell up/down from left/right due to the shape of your head and how the sounds reflect off your body. But that would take a long time and a load of effort, and still be less effective than with functional auricles.
This is not at all contentious, this is the scientific consensus for why our ears are shaped the way they are. AKA the exact antithesis of contentious.
