Is it really alright to just show her face to damn near the entire slum population
In a way it could work out in her favor.
The slum population are the very people she's helping the most, both directly and indirectly. The more thugs/traffickers/unsavory-types she takes out like this, the safer the slums will get--and if
she is the one seen doing it, those who live there will see her, know she's helping them (whether her primary intent or otherwise), and they're more likely to have her back going forward, including not reporting her if corrupt official-types come looking at some point.
I don't know if the author's thinking that far ahead, but that's an actual knock-on effect I could see playing out, where having "the bottom of society" look after her after she does so much to help them comes back to aid her later on when she needs it.
