Oh is just a different way to romanize the long o sound おう, another option would be Ō. At the end of the day doesn't really matter which romanization you use.

Unless you use just o when it's the long おう, that shit ain't right... I can't fathom why some people do it..

It's bad enough that historical precedent means were stuck with Tokyo and Kyoto when they really should be Toukyou and Kyoutou, judo and kendo when they should be jyuudou and kendou...

I prefer ou too since it makes sense with the kana, but some have argued that "oh" gives a better idea of how it's supposed to be pronounced, which isn't entirely stupid either.

And yeah I don't actually know if it's supposed to be long or short o sound in this case, haven't checked the raws so don't know if Oshita or Ou/Ohshita is correct.

Edit: Oh and a pet peeve from the Japanese themselves, when they romanize つ as tu, so e.g. doubutsu -> doubutu. I get it, that's how you type it on a keyboard, but it's a really bad romanization. =)

In most varieties of English, /o/ basically only exists as a long vowel, so it seems weird to explicitly mark it as long. Or at least that's my best guess.
