Honestly, I really enjoy seeing that someone can own up to their mistakes and admit they were wrong (which is honestly uncommon in stories like this). Now the duel isn't a spiteful match, but an honorable one between two people who have respect for each other.

This way author avoids having to justify not "killing the evil guy" to the readers by having some stupid bet servant or leave school bullshit.
Gives me hope that this manga isn't all about chapter count.
