Honestly, not surprised. Dropped this series multiple times, only came back due to being bored. Too much setup, not enough answers, too many characters introduced without good enough development from existing ones... pacing was a mess in general.
Nothing about the series was bad, and the art had great parts... but nothing stuck out after the first two chapters. 2.5/5

Bit of a rough ending.
Not sure how I feel about the manga as a whole now... time for a reread I guess!

Thank you very much for the translation either way! Looking forward to what you'll pick up next!

Pacing is such a fickle thing, but so important. This author seems to be weak at recognizing when something or someone is a good hook to develop further into a subplot or story arc to maintain a long story, but does well with shorter stories.

So many great ideas just dropped in this one, going all the way back to her in the house and people falling asleep and dying. There's so much you could do with that instead of just blurring along introducing characters and changing locations constantly.

When you give a character seemingly unlimited power there is no drama or plot progression around them needing to fit into society, or overcoming other issues. It gets boring fast.

(I've liked other stuff by Sal, especially the oneshot Tamao no Koi. The art is always fantastic. I just don't get how this one was fumbled so hard.)

So much potential for more story, such a shame...

By the way, if magic doesn't work on her than how was she knocked unconscious back in chapter 3? :pout:
