Lost in translation: In these panels Minoru is basically acting like a clumsy maid being punished by a bad samurai (or bandit) in a period TV show. In particular he says 'あ〜れ〜！' which is exaggerated, high pitched 'Ahhh-rehhhhhh' that's the typical 'Oh noooo' cried by the clumsy maid (or other girl) while being punished (often while being spun around by her sash). And then 'たすけて〜' (tasukete~) 'Help meeeee'. And at this point the good samurai or incognito magistrate might step in.... but not this time!

Anyhow, there was no way to get that across and I didn't want to add another notes page, so you get it here.
