I mean, I'm open to unusual setups, but a lot of readers might not be so accommodating, notably the ones expecting rapid romantic progress. And writers need to worry about readership, I can imagine.
Now that I think about it, that weird Mashiro-chan manga had a dynamic where the girl was lewd, and the guy was strictly into pure love.

Honestly I kinda wish he was actually a guy with a low sex drive or didn't like perverted things because it would make the dynamic of a succubus being in love with him more interesting

That would make it boring, and it would kill all the start of the story revolving around not to show his true feeling, this would break the tension as Well as making it more plain in my opinion. What We like here is kinda how it is different from other romance storie, sure the trope are similar but the consequences aren’t. And We have people with brain and Will.

Nah I've seen this concept before multiple times, two people pretending to not be into something when they are and thinking the other doesn't like it.
I won't say it's common but it's definitely not new
