if so they got the axe ending they deserve.

this manga was such a waste of potential. i feel like genuinely very little ended up happening in 105 chapters. i cant even think of any big romantic moments that i remember. i feel like we just read people going to class, going to work, and farting around at home 90% of the time
There were plenty.

Lemon you had your chance and blew it. You had time to unfuck it and didn't.
And no matter what you're coping on now, you are still not over him.

Poor Prez
Film Club Prez confirmed as best girl.

Saw on Twitter that the next chapter is the last?
I don't think the next chapter is the last one. Usually they'll put some sort of "Next chapter: The ending" when its the penultimate chapter. Next chapter end of the volume, maybe?

Uh, that sounds great?

Just go watch soap operas or similar trash for your dose of "big romantic moments".
Yeah, I sort of appreciate how low-key SoL this is despite the bodyswap. I am kinda torn because I appreciate how the mangaka put effort into addressing most of the logical issues and resolving them, but I they did... too good of a job? The central conflict is the body swapping and its almost too far in the background.

The only objection I have is the Sunao/Kogahara relationship execution has been kinda flat after all that build up. They are on eggshells around each other too much, which is relatable but like... kiss, cuddle, send stupid Rines to each other - do something couple like other than try to avoid your ex.

I dropped this after Lemon explained the 3 timing part because I got bored to continue it, but still it surprised me romcom today ends too fast and most comments I see that "x" series got the axed treatment instead of the story finally reached its end.

Did the series really go down deep or is it because the ship some people root for sunk that people started calling it got the axed?

Well this is two series for me in a row, first with Hima-ten and now Lemon.

Holy cow does Kogahara just get handed a win despite being a nothing character the entire time? Whats up with authors building up the relationship between two characters to just abandon it and go with some random 3rd person. How awful.

It's weird that this got the AXED treatment when basically nothing has been resolved with the body swap yet and it just ends at chapter 106. This is probably going to be the most rushed ending ever without any satisfying conclusion.
It's not a mystery story, how the body swap is is less important than how they react to the body swap. It's a character drama, after all. They never were going to unswap until they let go of their past and connection. If you want things happening and solving the thing being the focus, go read Detective Conan.

They've literally been wrapping things up for 2 months now. The MC love triangle got resolved and you're gonna pull a shocked face that it's ending soon?
It shows that most of the people shocked by the 'sudden' ending are Lemon shippers. For us Natsumin types, we're already in the epilogue. The climax was Ch 100 with the dual confession. Might have been interesting to see what their dating life would be like, but most of these romances only care about the lead up to getting together, so not surprising that everything after that is epilogue and wrapping up loose ends. Once the swap is done, not really any reason to go on.

From what I understand, the author is changing publishers. So it'll be last chapter with current publisher, before switching to new one to continue the story.
TY for lore update. Big if true. Jump in general seems to be where you go to die as a romcom writer in the big 2026. The amount of mishandled projects is stacking up considering the regression the manga industry is facing in paper published content.

The shift to digital and lower margins is really making it hard to see the reality of these stories properly finished when we still get the axe-kun overhanging these serialisations.

Its not even about that, its how slice of life the pacing has been to then all of a sudden expect 1 chapter to wrap up all loose ends. Natsumin was written perfectly as a winning heroine and shits all over hima-tens attempt at subverting expectations.

We still got the actual body swap to reverse, the truth to reveal, the dynamic it causes, natsumins perspective in all of this, the dynamic shift between lemon and sunao, the germany trip farewell. As you can see, expecting all this to tie up in 20 pages is a steep order.

Wtf does that have to do with the pacing shift lol. Bro i dont care about the shipping, its the literal story has all of a sudden set itself up to 180 the pace and nobody is questioning why?

But it hasn't, "bro". They took several chapters to clear up their love triangle, they then took several to address the body swaps. It's the end of the manga so it's not very slice of life anymore, but the pacing is normal for the endgame.

Dag if this is ending next week that's abrupt as hell. Explaining what the bodyswap is caused by, undoing it, and then providing a look at their lives post-bodyswap in a single chapter will be impossible.
Not to mention that Lemon is written as still having significant personal hangups, which would ideally get a resolution chapter.
