Yep, it's been a while but I remember this. I'm pleasantly surprised the story addressed this again and even brought the parasite (and new host) as new characters. Exciting developments!

Just read the whole series in one sitting, so let me recap this for returning readers:

• Yankee found out about ramen guy's existence even before he became the Black Brigade Dog, but he never met the ramen guy himself. All he heard was that Ramen Guy moved to Central and went missing.
• We know for sure that Ramen Guy was court chef for the Central Emperor until he died. Last time we saw the emperor eating ramen was shortly before Stella met the 3rd Prince.

I'm curious how tf a mere chef "has many enemies in court". I'm guessing that whoever ordered the Central regular army to kill the chef is preparing to poison the Central emperor's food, but that dtill doesnt explain why Ramen Guy has so many enemies.
