Ok, but I have a question
Why is the seal designed this way? Why put guardians TRYING TO STOP YOU from reinforcing it? Shouldn't they like protect you while you do that? If those are created by the bad guy, just destroy them and THEN reinforce the seal?
It seems needlesly complicated, but I guess that means more wacky character interactions on the way so, sure. It still bugs me tho, it just seems so wierd.

Gonna take a wild guess that, accounting for the usual loose narrative "because ancient magic" flexibility of possible explanations, the guardians are too strong to destroy and the catch is that they can't distinguish "a Saint approaching the seal to reinforce it" from "someone approaching the seal to break it."
Or there's a bypass method that was forgotten over time and the goddess doesn't know it because we've seen she's honestly scatterbrained enough that "get four people strong enough to hold off four guardian statues for however long the reinforcement takes every however long the interval takes" is easier to remember and/or accomplish.
Could be anything, but the point is this is the achievable challenge Jelly has in front of her now.
