I just happened to notice that tomorrow a new anime adaptation from this nuked series starts, I thought it was an average rom-com but it has a FEMBOY in the cast, so I have no choice but giving it a try.

Rules are rules.

Weird trend going on right now where axed series are getting an anime. (Black Torch, Psyren and others)

I feel like that says a lot about the state of manga and readership numbers

Probably doesn't help that a bunch of the heavy hitter series were ended early because of the authors declining health.

By nuked I mean from MangaDex (check for a handful of unavailable chapters), the series is pretty alive (+120 ahead of the scanlation).

Read it when it was first released it here... Actually waiting 3 years for the series to be done or longer, but it ended up got nuked. So I have no choice to yarr harr it and the official TL sucks ass I decided just stop reading.

Are we witnessing a manga recession due to overworking mangakas (causing adverse health effects) and impossible performance expectations? Maybe we’re coming into a new age with mangaka protection laws that mandates they get weekends off and 10 volumes to finish all their stories
