If there is any point this manga could end early and have a somewhat less abrupt ending it's here with this volume. If it continues into adapting volume 3 it's probably good for the long run.

It's pretty much what most of the japanese fans have been saying the entire time while waiting to see what happens.
fingers crossed but I can't help bracing myself for the worst with a little dark humor to ease the sting.
(Sorry I'm not trying to scare the readers or anything, I'd hate it ending here just as much if not more than you guys)

That's how parents are supposed to be, you leave a legacy for the children so that they can have a better time than you, you can't keep the stuff you gained anyway when you die, nonetheless, it's very sad to see them go, sometimes you don't even have a chance to say goodbyes

by that time, he'll be really strong because the old folks are actually eating away at his mana, he'll be full power once they leave but he will also be more stronger than that with what they'll will teach to him one by one

i know this is supposed to be about the family heads, but i really can't take these goodbyes seriously when they ignore literally everyone else in their family that passed away too lmao
like the only time other siblings/other family members were mentioned, their fucking faces were left blank cause they've been portrayed as THAT insignificant.
even the second head here isn't thinking one bit about his mother, wife and his own children lol

I mean everyone gathered there aren't real and need to deal with the existential dread in finding purpose in their existence. The only people gathered in the jewel are those who used it so their family's condition isn't at the frobt of their minds right now.
Also the first acknowledged that this version of him might not have a place in the afterlife and laments not being able to tell his wife about his time there.

They pretty much are playing strong and looking to create purpose through Lyle. The light novel shows glimpses of them being a little depressed about their situation later and their feelings about other family through flashbacks they show Lyle, but they generally keep it positive not to worry Lyle or show weakness.

Someone should make a joke manga with great world building and by the fourth chapter have the MC killed by an axe welding bandit and leave an apology saying the manga got axed.

aside from the last few pages, most of this was only between the ancestors and lyle didn't know anyway. glad the light novel touches a bit more on that part tho.
