Do they think people go trauma dumping as a casual conversation?
Also, trauma reactions are weird, you can be totally normal until something triggers it
I've spent the last 3 chapters trying to say exactly that xD

The band leader said almost the exact same thing as Sato did before their performance: "I'm really glad we let you be our guitarist/pianist, Kurose."
Ohhhh yeah you right. Honestly I think that ties it all together for me, it's good writing now. Mio, kiss him please

Traumas are like that, they don't need to make sense because they are not a logical reaction
I'm very aware that they're not, I just couldn't see what the trigger was for that trauma until pretty much just now cause I didn't notice the band leader said the same thing Sato did

I think she saying he should never play piano again and should never played the piano in the show was really but really bad thing talk to him even if she reasons are valid.

One thing everyone needs to remember is that words has a big impact for a person and can make a person being traumatized for a whole life if he did not get any support.

I think they will meet again and both will apologize to each other,Kurose for mess up in the performance and Sato for the harsh words that she should not have said.

At least show it at early chapter, for example his backstory like why he is nice or family atmosphere.
They could show at least, the reason he couldnt refuse or helping others is because of his trauma or something.
At early chapter they only show that his sisters are nice.

Why not ask to replace the pianist when you have a substitution on scene? It is a kids competition, so they should have allowed such deviation

Anyway, still, the build up for this trauma arc was awful and out of nowhere, the story itself is passable. But I still cannot understand how his older sister got out of the mother's hook
Well I mean he wasn't going to tell them he wasn't feeling well because he wanted to succeed and make him mok proud.

Why didn't the teacher notice? Maybe she did but didn't want to suggest him stepping aside because of how excited he was to do it.

I don't know but it wouldn't surprise me if the Mom decided to give the older sister freedom after she saw how her desire for perfection had basically destroyed her son's confidence and joy.

I do think it's way to selective that he was able to agree to help but got a sudden blast of trauma that was presumably constant.

It would actually make more sense for it to happen during the event but I imagine they want the story to be about him taking the 1st step in recovery.

Eu sei que não foi intencional, mas aquela última imagem do rosto do Haimiya passa uma forte impressão de "Você é idiota?".

It's very sad, but I hope the MC's mother redeems herself and that he makes up with the girl; even though she was being an idiot, she was just a child.

Screw the teacher as well, you see one of your students frozen in fear from the pressure and you ignore him?? Trope of Japanese teachers being completely worthless strikes again!
I always feel like Japanese teachers (in these stories at least) are very business-like. They come in, do their job to the letter and don't do much beyond that, unless they are sports related. Not every teacher can be like Yankumi or GTO.
You really have to understand Kurose; he was just a young boy with an inferiority complex, consumed by the pressure to excel, so it was hard for him to decide whether to play or not given his nerves.
The way that unpleasant girl treated him—and the teacher's utter lack of tact—was truly awful. It’s a shame for him; hopefully, Haimiya lends him a hand and helps him overcome his fears 🤍🙌

The teacher's fault is that she didn't prepare the kids for the stage. It wouldn't have been a problem before and during the concert, if the kids were adequately taught about stage fright and how to deal with it.

I'm lucky to have had several opportunities in my school years to perform: music, dancing, poem recitals. And in each of these, there was separate instruction from teachers/instructors/directors for how handle ourselves on the stage. The teacher who directed the poem recitals was the most explicit about it. It was something like this: "You are to stand on the stage like a Greek god, like Apollo. Make sure your posture helps your breathing".

Kurose's situation was created by his mother, yes, but his failure at the concert is completely the teacher's fault.
