I am currently up Mount San Jacinto...
Hope you're having a good time! :win:

Aww, Goro the Monk offering the last piece is definitely his idea of safe flirting. :wooow:

Looking forward to Goro taking a kitsune whisperer tour of the villages!

Shape-shifting foxes, spiders, weasels, raccoons and who knows what else. Since you can't swing a dead cat without hitting some sort of yokai (and the cat turning into one halfway), one has to wonder how any human civilization could have survived through the ages on that archipelago, not to even mention having the leeway to pretty much wage constant warfare among itself until the 19th century.

He likes taking things slowly... also with what "hell" he's been through and with unforeseen future events I think he made the right choice. With spiteful fox, and spiteful manager with plants demon.. who knows who is going to be after him or his fluff time
I get what you're saying, but "slow" is molasses in January in Alaska. A glacier in January in Alaska moves faster than Goro.

Credits page was very educational, thank you

Well, considering the purpose of the so-called trial period, which is iirc to find out whether they can live together and whether Kogane will fit into human environment and Goro's life, I believe now they only stick to formalities
Douji passed the double check. Also, good to know, how strongly he is on their side
...ugh, I have that unpleasant feeling that one last villain is gonna start his arc between the end of trial period and actual marriage. It would feel like culmination of manga, but...I don't want no more drama nor conflict. I don't want action, just SoL.

Thank you for the translation, as always

I feel like the very last piece on the platter is not very specifically a Japanese problem. Might be quite universal, though probably not affecting every culture. Even the solution of pushing it to someone else, instead of looking greedy by trying to claim it for oneself, is the universal solution. That being said, Japan is probably preserving old manners better than many other countries.
