I really hope MC stands his ground and doesn't forgive this former guild master :aquadrink:

Really wish that they called him out on that.
Edit: They also need to announce that throughout the city so that the citizens know the truth.
No way would they want to do that. The consequences of the shortages are already felt by the general public, tell them it was this joker's fault and besides lynching him, they'd turn on the guild itself, possibly causing more losses that they had so far.

If I was the MC, I would ask that part of my compensation be that everyone who was involved and is being punished become my slaves. Need some more hands to help restore the wasteland.
He doesn't need the help. He already has contracts with the greater spirits and even before he did, their power accomplished more than a whole crew of workers could. Besides, even if there were magic involved in keeping those slaves obedient, you're still living with mortal enemies that now know things no outsider should. There's always a chance that will bite you in the ass.

Yah I really like how the guild master is getting his comeuppance

Just really hope Eltina and the other guild clerks don't get screwed because of him. Even if Eltina wasn't the nicest, she was always honest and never tried screw over Yuuta. :worry:

Here's hoping she joins Yuuta as some sort of clerk to handle any paperwork/a nanny for the kids :glee:

Thanks for the chapter!

Have we read a different story? She was the very first person to shun him when he entered the guild and directly involved in the GM's schemes to basically enslave Yuuta.

P.s. Having read chapter 39 again I am willing to take back the first part (though she was definitely treating him like dirt later, especially when arriving with his disciples), not the second one though. She personally handed the oppressive contract to Yuuta.
