Please share examples of series where the adventurer guild is "evil" / forces protagonist. The usual forced quest/mission/task due to emergency like stampede should be excluded.
I believe this kind of scenario to be at least uncommon, if not rare.

Here is an example:
Gokufuri Kyohi Shite Tesaguri Start! Tokka Shinai Healer, Nakama to Wakarete Tabi ni Deru
Somewhat early chapters. Note adventurer guilds are limited to each town/city (means rank is "reset" when visiting a new one).
In a labyrinth city the guild both shout private information and strongly wants to buy drop information, but MC rejects as it is optional to which they first respond with harassing then
capture for torture extraction which forces MC to fled at night (with help) and they switch to assassination using an unofficial retribution group
.

very true and that’s exactly what I say every time edgelords comment that mc should just do whatever they want f he wants cause he’s so stupidly powerful. Obviously that’s a bad idea And would definitely get him killed no matter how strong he is.

though that being said, dude literally just encased the entire adventurer s guild in vines. He’s already made himself a pretty big enemy of the guild lol

mc probably would’ve actually responded quite well to a sincere public apology and acknowledgement of his power/deeds but the guild master was just too freaking stubborn.
even after this he basically refuses to acknowledge he was wrong

oh, also, they cut out one of the funniest parts of this scene.
guild master legit tried to claim that the people who attacked mc were just angry adventurers and not a coordinated strike team under his direct command
From what we know in regards to the power he techincally commands at the moment, he ABSOLUTELY can leverage his power to a great extent without getting killed. We know the great spirits can absolutely decimate cities with ease, only thing with that was the people didnt really buy that he was powerful, but with people acknowledging that he killed a fire dragon and that becoming public knowledge?

While the spirits are harder to really get a grasp on for most people since they cant see them, a fire dragon is something that scares the shit out of them all. Now going on a massacre and just killing people? Obviously stupid. Leveraging his power to make a deal directly with the city in regards to the dungeon? Should be very feasible.

Now, that would be if MC wasnt a bit of a coward and a pushover without the support of the spirits. But in this instance he has now declared himself an enemy of the guild, so being directly hostile towards the guild should be a given.

In the labyrinth city he obtained through his special holy magic a rare item drop and left an unlucky impression from an unrelated find, and couldn't tell the guild how he got it. So he had to lie that it was a reward from stopping the stampede in the previous town. The guild end up not believing him so he has to flee getting past group of watchers/handlers in the city before he gets arrested by the corrupt guild or worse.

The Evil Adventurers Guild are often difficult to pull off since it requires a smart protagonist like him or protagonist from dungeon dive aim for the deepest level, and a degree of mature themes like corruption or politics that makes sense.

Since spirits are practically undetectable to everyone else, can go where they please, and can act totally independently, MC has unlimited options to mess with the guild. Sylphy already spies on them. But it didn't feel like mc did much to discourage the guild master from scheming further against mc. Will be annoying to see him again, oh well

I disagree, they already said that just a medium size FIRE spirit could easily destroy the whole town
so I def can imagine it that just 1 great spirit could easily destroy a city and this dude has like 4 of them so yea I highly doubt he would get killed from these regular weak people

Tho I do agree with you that MC shouldn't just start massacring people left and right ESPECIALLY since he wants to interact and live with people and he's doing that perfectly fine except for this 1 guild, so why create even more problems where its not needed :wooow: especially when others can clean it up for you aka the merchant girl and her powerful dad who has connections with nobles and probably the king at this point

point was that making an enemy of the world would get him killed eventually. Can a weak person kill him? Probably not but if you have every person in the kingdom constantly try to kill him, eventually one will slip past his defenses with poison or a long range spell or just a shit ton of dynamite

but yeah, smart move here is to leverage his influence with the merchants guild to pin all the blame on the adventurers guild. they did literally try to enslave and then murder him and there’s a ton of witnesses who will testify on his behalf to avoid his wrath.

Doubtful, the spirtis don't sleep, can't even be detected much less neutralized. as long as they're on his side, he has nothing to worry about, as you've just seen. In any case, no one would even volunteer for such suicide missions after the first couple of fools were dispatched. It might be a different story if he were to actively try to conquer the world and lord over people, but who's going to keep trying to get at an unreachable target, just because the authorities say he's an enemy? No amount of money is worth such odds.

In a better written story that would be the case, but the author wrote the MC with absolutely busted power in contracting with great spirits who are absolutely busted and basically don't need sleep, can't be taken by surprise, are much stronger than literally anyone MC meets, and have undetectable espionage/surveillance abilities. Even most other power fantasies have some kind of potential threat to the MC, but not this one.

Bro walks up to the royal palace and gets his way, also blows up a noble's mansion in the middle of the capital city and gets away with it, literally nothing in this world can compare to his spirits unless his spirits abandon him.

The main issues he faces are that he's stupid in some ways and very petty. He spends more time and brain power keeping his spirits happy over any external threat.

I would actually prefer if he didn't give these people any attention and the story focused mainly on discovering and recruiting spirits, and developing the dead area. But no, we have this Spirit Mage discrimination plot, too. And based on your spoiler, it doesn't seem like he actually resolves that without resorting to a display of power, anyways. Why not just do that in the first place?

Yes, that is the case but if things escalate to the point were he needs the spirits like that then it becomes a national problem and he will have the kingdom to contest with not just the guild.
the problem in dealing with humans are not the people in front of you but everyone else.

The other great spirits were brought there by Sylphy, under the assumption that he'd be able to establish a habitat for them, like Dyne's spring and fountain. How is he supposed to do the same for a great fire spirit? This was discussed previously, unless he finds a natural gas or peat deposit and lights it up, there's not much hope to keep a constant big fire there. Needless to say, that's a rather dangerous idea, no way to extinguish that afterwards.
dig, dig some more, dig until you can't dig anymore. then keep on digging until you hit magma.

homemade volcano should do it =v

It wouldn't be a volcano, but given that Sylphy did protect him from direct contact with lava before, it's probably feasible for him to dig his way to the planet's mantle...

Most of the story is actually about him doing stuff like exploring the other parts of the world more, contracting or recruiting a few more spirits, and developing the dead area actually, there's only this guild master and one stupid noble that directly oppose and antagonize him so far in the web novel unless I'm forgetting something. He gets way too OP for conflict to be interesting anymore unless it's something he can't solve with brute force, spying, or tons of money. As for why he doesn't do all this in the first place, he's petty as fuck, he wants to show them up and show how cool and strong spirit mages can be, just happens to mostly fail a lot as his reputation continues going into the dirt until he starts openly showing he's OP which he's doing now.

My version of this arc:
MC with 4 great spirits who could each level the city "I'm going into the dungeon now"
Dungeon guard "OK"

My solution, if I were Yuuta, would be to go to the merchants and nobles/government officials and ask if they want high level materials on the market or not. Since he's the only one who can deliver on this they would likely pressure the guild into letting him enter the dungeon whether he's a member or not. Alternately he can start a Spirit Mage guild and block the entrance in a way that only those recognized by the spirits could enter. When in doubt hit everyone in their wallets, things would change real quick.

That said, I want to get back to reclaiming the dead land, that seems way more fun even if he's just trying to raise awareness of spirit magic.

If youre an "enemy of the guild", why wouldnt you just ignore the guild managing the dungeon and force your way through anyways? The city is just gonna push the responsibility onto the guild rather than fight someone who can take down a fire dragon on their behalf lol
specially since the guild losing their footing, the nobles should try to get him directly and making it possible for Yuuta to enter the dungeon anyways
