I was just thinking it was time for a re-read. Great minds. Thanks for the tl Yurie but make sure you rest too, appreciate your efforts and been reading good over here.Oh wow, I JUST finished re-reading it, refreshed and saw a new post. Much appreciated. While her new art style changing back and forth is confusing, glad to see his teachings and proving out levels working are working.
or taught them how to make them so they could stabilize their income and not put as much burden on KarenYeah somewhat surprised Miyabi didn't say much or do anything in regards to them all being crafters, considering the story has made it a point up till now that [Wind blocks] are in high demand and mostly crafters are capable of making them I thought he would have stuck his nose into the whole thing and give them some assurance that Karen being independant now.
Yes. He learned about it when she came in a dress to the party celebrating the opening of the railway.I forgot, does the MC know that Karen is a girl yet? Cause her younger siblings where calling her nee-chan making it obvious
I seriously thought Page 7, Panel 1, was Miyabi building a wooden rope bridge and Mel was testing it in the Raws. Now with translations, I'm not so sure. It could have just been built by the village.Or at the very least get out that shovel and scoop out the mountain wall to make the path at least a LITTLE less dangerous!!
In some regards I can understand why they don't. Building a safer road has the potential of inviting trouble.
It also means that there are no competing claims to the land that would imperil their ability to claim ownership. Any land next to the Royal Capital has to be governed/owned/controlled by the King/Royal Family. The further out they are, the less they have to worry about it. Also better roads mean it's easier for monsters to get in, and for the human monsters, tax collectors to try to evict them.It seems odd to make such a remote village to get away from everyone, but then not settle where you can be self sufficient and still have to rely on money being sent home and selling in the capital...
Speaking of the capital, how did they get that cart full of carrots through that mountain pass...
My guess is they are mostly self-sufficient and only need a few staples from town like milled flour or raw materials like iron / steel. As for the remoteness of their settlement, they are a minority group who are discriminated against because of their skill. So look back on how people first treated Miyabi, Karen and the wall repair crews and it becomes more understandable why they would remove themselves from the capital. It seems odd to make such a remote village to get away from everyone, but then not settle where you can be self sufficient and still have to rely on money being sent home and selling in the capital...
As others have stated, they all have personal inventories. So it wouldnt be any more difficult then walking down the mountain. Or just build a simple crane or zipline to lower down off the mountain.Speaking of the capital, how did they get that cart full of carrots through that mountain pass...
The female supporting characters in this manga have great designs. I want to give Karen's mom more children.Karen's mom has got it goin on.
I imagine they had a few carriers through the pass and the cart itself is lower and safer down the mountain. It seems odd to make such a remote village to get away from everyone, but then not settle where you can be self sufficient and still have to rely on money being sent home and selling in the capital...
