See Chapter 37. Ruo Men is Rakan's uncle and thus Mao Mao's great uncle as she mentioned in Chapter 69. Ruo Men was more of a father to Rakan than his own father, which is why he respects him so much.
They are not step-siblings, they are adoptive siblings and cousins.
Aside from that, this was probably done intentionally to avoid clutter. Ruo Men would also require a line to Mao Mao, since he is both her adoptive father and her great uncle.
She doesn't want to eat frogs because she's thinking about Jinshi's frog, lol.
The high consort that was too young for the current Emperor was Rishu, not Rouran. Rouran is around the same age as Maomao and thus considered a woman.
Remember in Chapter 43, Shisui tried to buy jasmine, and Maomao...
His name is still Kan Ruomen. He is addressed by some as Dr. Kan. As you see in the translation note, he still also has the Ra character in his name, it just uses Mandarin reading. If you used Japanese reading, 羅門 would be Ramon. Basen (馬閃) uses Japanese reading, in Mandarin it would be Mashan...
Hey there, thanks for the chapter!
I have two questions:
1. Were Honnyan's lines on pg 20 misplaced? Because she says "Something like Renshi-sama receiving a lot of precious miracle drugs." first.
2. I heard this manga is getting officially licensed in English. Will you continue working on...
This. The "honors Kazuki-sensei's choice" is probably the most pretentious thing I've read in a while. The translator sounds exactly like the Apothecary Diaries LN translator who couldn't be arsed to read the novel and went with his own interpretations, then wrote a long rant because he got...
@animehuntress The manga doesn't play in our world, it's simply a Chinese-inspired world. You already can see that based on their names, as some have Chinese names, while others don't, at least in the original. Don't think too hard about this.
@NotteBoy97 Yuye is how you read 玉葉 in Mandarin. In Japanese, the names in Kusuriya no Hitorigoto are all a mix between different kanji reading (in Japanese there is onyomi and kunyomi). There is ruby text that indicates how the names are pronounced to help the reader. The ruby text for 玉葉 says...
@Giangiotto Unless another group comes and picks this up, this is very unlikely.
Official releases have caught up to mangadex and the other group is far ahead. It's not impossible, but I doubt someone else wants to work on this, excluding MTLers.
lol at anyone who complains that it's difficult to go to Sawateam's website to read the chapters. You join their discord, then go to their website and find the manhwa. It's literally 3 or 4 clicks. They don't have ads or malware, the site is safe.
Official translations are at Chapter 33 right...
God's grace distribution was explained in Chapter 4.
Basically, blue-robed temple members have their own attendants and cooks. They eat first, then their attendants get the leftovers, then adult gray-robed members get to eat, then the baptized children, then the pre-baptized ones. Basically...
