She is a real sister. However, she doesn't explicitly indicate romantic or sexual interest. Jealousy isn't necessarily indictive of that (even though it usually is at that level).

I have encountered exactly 0 romantic visual novels where the sister route doesn't involve any sex. And I've played a lot of dating-sim-style visual novels, which is what apparently our reincarnated MC played.

The sex scenes in the all-ages version would just be a "fade to black" kind of deal. And the kisses would be allowed to be shown anyway.

In fact, it would kind of break the mould if there was a visual novel where the sister route (and by "route" I mean that the MC chooses to focus his efforts only on his sister, and not that their relationship improves while he is romancing some other girl) is purely a sibling relationship. I reckon it probably exists, but only as a neutral or bad end to a typical romantic route.

I'm definitely in the minority, and its probably because I've read to many manga and VNs that have worse people in them, but the MC hasn't been THAT bad so far. Selfish and arrogant yes, but he can easily be redeemed and I hope he does so. I find him to be a good foil for the MC of this manga, whereas he is all ME ME ME outwardly, she is all ME ME ME inwardly, him toxically positive (about himself) and her toxically negative (about herself). I hope this manga utilizes this dynamic to show them both mature, he gets humbled as she picks herself up. That said, I don't dislike the male lead enough at this point to want to see him browbeaten to the ground and absolutely alone nor do I want to see the MC just get fawned over by all the girls for doing basically nothing until she gets more self-esteem. I honestly think the current dynamic could lead to the most positive development for all involved. She gets harassed by the gyaru and learns to value herself more, he gets harassed by his little sister (need not be romantically) until he learns humility. That's probably just me though, I imagine most readers want the complete NTR experience lol.
