that wasn't funny, but she's very cute
I guess I'd have to correct 💢 her instead of feeding her :smugnako:

the skit is a twist of villainess break off the engagement trope: she's switching between 2 roles: the prince, and his villainess fiancee , the villainess is an actual villainess who is abusing the commoner (original heroine), but she pretended she was role-playing when she noticed prince eavesdropping on her - so prince was fooled into thinking fiancee is good/considerate when fiancee is actually evil.

Kana's expressions are accurate so it's a truly good skit that most otome isekai lovers would like, so how Sou actually rates it probably depends on how familiar he is with the trope

Yeah, I can only think that people didn't get that she was swapping between characters and that's why they didn't get it. That, and/or they don't know/understand manzai.

Wouldn't it make more sense if the genders were also swapped for this trope in this world?
Presumably it's the dudes playing the more gentle "otome" equivalent games here, while the women are the ones playing orc-lady-rapes-handsome-knight games and reading (reverse) harem stories.

Affirmative, I read a lot of villainess Mangas and I did chuckle at it.
Requires the context of how they usually go though

So, this is the skit which Kana was talking in chapter 168. 😂
It's lil funny, leaving the skit aside, Kana is so cute that she needs to be fed lovingly.
How did you remember such a small reference? Or was it a recent revisit to the older chapters?

...and then put a bit of imagination into how she, a flesh and blood Ojou-sama, voice-acts that manzai skit, which she likely does.

pulling off such a performance all of a sudden.

Well, it's not out of the blue - as mentioned, it's her signature skit, so she's not doing it from scratch.

But finally we get to see the actual thing, not cut off like last time. I guess Suzuki will not be too impressed since he's already seen it in class. Same for Miku and Hinata, since they know their friend's talent anyway. But Sou and the Class A guards will likely see Kanaria perform for the first time. So I wonder what their inner reaction will be like.

Especially since this is one of the few chapters without any inner monologues... the next one will be fun.
Kanaria is cute and precious and she deserves a reward.

I support.

SOU smiles <AOE ATTACK> - all enemies are stunned.
SOU pats on his left thigh and casts a spell at Kana:
さあ、こっちにおいで金糸雀ちゃん

I'm surprised that even in the backwards world, it's the prince and villainess. But if the fight is for the "first wife" spot and polygamy is just natural, then why worry about him breaking off the engagement? Wouldn't they just kept the marriage happening, but then be neglected as a wife (read: woman) afterwards?

I have reread this manga, hundreds of times. I am recoloring this title hence, I keep looking up and down for every little details. Which chapter, which character, which panel, how many appearances, things in background, direction of main light, illumination and ambient light, color relativity.

When I draw, there is an invisible character which is present in every panel is not seen ie "Presence of Light". In fact, every object is a character in whole recoloring 'affair'.

Some slaves were actually treated quite well. For instance, if the ancient Romans had a Greek slave, it was considered high status, so those slaves could live relatively comfortably. And there were also people who tried to fake their slaves as being Greek.

Honestly, not a bad performance. She gets a passing grade for that one. Aside from being as adorable as always.

Kana's villainess skit is way more interesting than majority of actual villainess stories out there.
Most villainess stories aren't about actual villainesses. She's either misunderstood, or dies to leave room for the isekai MC soul.

ah Kanaria, as adorkable as you are…

villainous lady
no ohohoho
