Hinata getting a supercharge from licking and sucking on the chopsticks. Only a matter of time before she completely converts to the dark side and awakens her new self.

No one knew what she was truly going for until it was far too late.
Hm. I wasn't sure she'd actually succeed in feeding him - and honestly, I would have preferred it if she failed somehow. Still, the moment she managed to get it done, the next step was the obvious thing to do. Putting myself in her shoes, I would have done the very same. I mean, given that chance, all the other girls would have done exactly that.

By the way, the longer I look at this scene, the more I think Sou acted like a total asshole. He should have cared for Kanaria after she collapsed instead of joking it over and then letting Hinata have her way. Don't misunderstand, I don't blame Hinata at all here. That's how girls have to fight in that world. It's all on Sou for being such an oblivious numbskull.

Let's hope Suzuki hammers some sense into his brain.

Damn, I'm catching strays 'cause I fully believe I'd act similar to him in such a situation, obliviousness and all.

There's nothing wrong with being nice to the girls (and a bit oblivious). Sou wasn't actually oblivious here, though.
But let me explain with a quick look at this exchange in #225:

Kaede: "I think it's a little questionable that someone else is exercising Kanaria-chan's rights."
Sou: "If it's Kana, she's sleeping next to me [on Miku's lap]."

Tells you all you need to know.

Combine it with the fact that Sou's first (retarded) reaction to Kana's collapse was "oh she's doing comedy..."
What he replied to Kaede here is saying "don't mind it, she's sleeping there so it's fine to give Kana's reward to Hinata"
Take note, it wasn't just Hinata silencing the A-Team - when they tried to argue, Sou himself replied to them.
He had the means to politely refuse any attempts unless it's with Kanaria.
All of them would have listened, Hinata included.

Same here. But I understand that hypersexualized American teenagers may have a difficult time with empathizing.

Hinata is long broken. I think shes the most broken of all or thats just the contrast making it feel that way. If this had a tragedy tag, hinata is about to be a goner. Luckily, in this version, we got her as a gooner.

The "good girl" bit is her lying to herself though.

That, too, but I think it's far more complicated than just lying to herself.

Hinata is long broken.

Yes, you are correct.

When it comes to Hinata, she's struggling with her inner demons and I don't think those are related to lust alone. Whatever happened to her, it's likely that she was traumatized early on in her childhood. We were shown a little in C211 and she gave away bits and pieces with her inner thoughts.

Let's take it at face value first - Hinata's mother was extremely obsessed with a guy named "Hinata-kun" but he either didn't care for her that much or left her for some reason. The scene is shown is from Hinata's perspective and we can see the environment is one where she was neglected at best, and mistreated or even abused at worst.

That said, from here on I'm speculating.

Hinata could be that Hinata-kun's biological daughter - her mother named her after him. But Hinata-kun lost interest in her and went for other women because he was an asshole. So in her mother's eyes, her daughter became a nuisance because she's not a boy. She likely redirects part of her frustration and hatred on her child because a son might have been able to keep Hinata-kun interested - or replace him in the end. Yep, the world is that fucked up. So, Hinata is a victim of child abuse and it made her into a woman who doesn't want kids - she fears to end up like her abusive mother.

But we don't know how old Hinata was in that flashback. In an even more extreme scenario her own father got tempted into going after his daughter and maybe even did it with her - depending on what happened, she basically "stole" him from her mother, making her one of the bad women. It would explain why she thinks that she isn't a good girl at all. If her father left after that it was probably because he couldn't deal with it or the mother's rising insanity drove him away. Hinata might blame herself for that as well and now she desperately tries to hold herself back.

There are other scenarios but none of them is really nice. Let's conclude, Hinata was hated at home if she misbehaved or acted in a way her mother didn't like. As a result Hinata became adept at playing a role - the good girl - because she wants to be liked by her peers. Obviously she doesn't want to get hurt or become like her abrasive mother.

I would say, this one's a walking black flag.

Sorry for the wall of text.

If this continues, the government will shut down that school by the end of day 6... good thing, at the pace this is going, it will take the author another five years, at least.

...and on the seventh Day, Sou (was ar)rested.
I am very sorry for what I now have to do...

NO I DON'T WANT THAT! THIS MANGA ENDING IN FIVE YEARS! IT SHOULD KEEP GOING FOR TEN YEARS AT LEAST!

I think the only main problem with your speculation is that youre not sticking with the "male fear the female" setting. The mother probably was like a stalker or maybe even raped "Hinata-kun"? who knows. But maybe youre right or somewhat right. Maybe that "Hinata-kun" treated our Hinata kindly and that caused the mother to be jealous and even hurt Hinata.

But my assumption is more towards neglect and being a very bad example for Hinata that she fears herself being no different from the mother.
