I want to like this more but while there are some good points, everything comes together in an awkward or contrived way. The part that sticks out most to me is how jarring the transition is from 1) abusive relationship to 2) quitting abusive relationship cold turkey, very little apparent development from recognizing to pulling the trigger to 3) living his best life and using language that implies he's been to months of therapy (which to be fair might've taken place off screen?). It gives the impression he just woke up one day and divine intervention struck, like a reincarnation plot that gave him years of someone else's memories and experience. Some of it may be lost in translation I suppose.

One plausible but frustrating detail is when

other students think HE was the abuser, and his response is an uninspiring "no, she is". Given the "winning arguments I made up in the shower" nature of this plot I really expected something a little more clever, but it's definitely truer to life to blurt out something that sounds unconvincing.

Genuinely depressing seeing all the comments either calling this an evil incel fantasy for daring to portray female on male abuse as anything besides the subject of a bad joke or getting mad that it's not a badly disguised harem manga. It's not the most original manga in the universe, but given I paid zero dollars for it and it kept me invested through all of the 38 available chapters in English, I'd say it deserves the high rating.

It's cute, simple and has a heartwarming plot. I don't need anything more than that really.

I don't even read manga on a regular basis man, I just don't need every single thing I read to be groundbreaking and completely original. It's really that simple, but you can go ahead and make up whatever caricature of me in your head that makes you feel good I guess.

God forbid someone enjoy something you don't. At this point I'm not sure whether you're just reflexively dismissing this as "muh cringe incel trash" because the subject makes you uncomfortable or if you're just the kind of person who recreationally hates anything that isn't rammed full of obnoxious nihilism by assuming it's all "low iq".

If you are searching for anything else, then move on lmao, the story is as simple as it is dumb, characters are either too good or comically bad, and I know there are people that awful but they aren't interesting characters to begin with.

The problem is that these stories get burned pretty quickly. I'm only in chapter 15 and this is getting worse by the chapter.

The "main" heroine looks like Neon from Nikke and I think that's why I followed this far lmao

i would love too see where this is going to be end ... whether the mc will be with the childhood one or a different one
