As someone who actually enjoys reading Chii chapters it's always funny to come here and see the forum threads burning.

Why does everyone hate chii I really like how it kinda just seems that she's really bad at coming to terms with change like both her friends have boyfriends which means less time with her gal pals and she can't handle that she wants to hang out and just eat things with her friends forever but something that's somewhat of a theme in this manga is people trying to change and figure out how to live the rest of your life.

Anyways that's just my dumb lil analysis of this idk I'm stupid

Tokio and chitas relationship certainly is a lot more nuanced than the main couples. It's a lot more realistic by today standards. Alot of guys are ready to settle down and alot of girls don't want to commit, especially in the young demographic. Hopefully it pans out better than it does in reality and chita doesn't wait until she's in her 30's and single with a kid before she realizes whats in front of her is completely acceptable and expecting things to stay the same forever is immature and delusional.

I think you're spot on & the various flavors of dealing with change is a good variation on theme to play on, especially in a manga ostensibly aimed at teenagers.
