Keep in mind that we have in-setting confirmation that Lady Kruel and at least one other under Absolute's house are transmigrators. And they fully intend to turn the entire setting on its head.
Wait, what? Did I miss that? Was that in one of the really badly translated ones?

His name isn't a joke or a pun, it's just English. I don't like Japanese pun names being translated into English like Jaga and Hyoro from Eminence in the Shadows, but when the name itself is supposed to be an English word or name then leaving them in weird and janky Engrish instead of properly fixing them up for the English audience just makes it uncomfortably awkward and hard to read.
Ok, but then the translation is wrong...because it should be "Absolute Evil" not "Absolute Ark" or "Arc", since his family name is "Aku" meant as evil and, pun or not, they are considered evil and do the royals' dirty jobs
And, again, is not Asphy's error, but something from chapter 1...

Nah, it's アーク in the raws, not アク
So "Ark" is fine.

Chapter 2, pages 20 through 25. Pay VERY close attention to what they're saying. They're discussing everything in a way that's so meta that there's no other explanation for it.

Hrm, I read that completely differently.

I read it as them putting on a pretense, and hearing stories from other nobles like their parents. To get him to like her, she put on a 'character' that would impress him. Since it's also MTL, I think this might be able to be debated.

If this were the case, the mangaka wouldn't have made as much of a point to set aside pages for this plot point. Them "adopting characters" to support Absolute wouldn't be terribly important to the plot so early on, because it would go without saying that Absolute's subordinate noblemen and noblewomen are supporting him, even if it requires a bit of subterfuge on their parts. Especially after they've all been shown bending the knee to Absolute with such heartfelt conviction at the Prince's birthday party.

There is one other clue, again in those five pages in Chapter 2. The part where the boy says that he is surprised that Lady Kruel came to him first and foremost with whatever it was she had. Again, if it was just a matter of them adopting characters to support Absolute, then it should go without saying. But having clandestine meetings behind the scenes? Like as if it's some secret conspiracy that they must maintain? No, there's no need for that degree of cloak and dagger in that case.

EDIT: I had that wrong. He was saying that it was the right choice on his part to approach Lady Kruel first. Either way, the point still stands.

So, secret meetings and talking about acting out character roles? In a setting that's based on a game? The only other way this would be the case would be if everyone recognized that the world they exist in was a game someone else was playing. But there's been no evidence of it. They can only be transmigrators in this case.

It's definitely a better translation, but you'll need to go a bit further than that. Like I said, all pages from 20 to 25 - the entire conversation they have is relevant to the point.

EDIT: Especially that other clue I mentioned - that they had a secret meeting to discuss this matter with each other before hand.
