See, this is why loong time ago I made a comment that I disagree with the translation decision that made some conversation implied that Hirose is so close already to Amakasu that she can call her "An".
Because I don't think that's the case. I think that old translation is wrong.

Sure you can argue that it might be because they are still in the hospital ground,
but I remember much later there will be another scene that disprove that.

reminder that a doctor fresh out of school would not be assigned on duty ALONE especially at the ER. This manga forced the plot with this recent "arc". Though im not sure how they do it at japan but hospitals will assign a senior doctor to oversee a fresh graduate

It might very well be how it is in Japan.

Rather no ct scan is ever interpreted by a radiology technician under any circumstance (nor is any other radiologic image to my knowledge). The manga is blurring the lines for the sake of the scenario but they simply dont have the training to do so. still love this manga thanks for the tl

Oh man, did I seriously just read through all of this in a single morning?

Well the story has been really engaging so far and I'm really looking forward to the next chapters.

There’s a huge staffing shortage even in many 1st world countries. In Australia here I work at a tertiary level hospital in the suburbs and there could be 5 hr turnover time for CT/MRI reporting so a lot of times the ED attendees would have to jump the gun. Amakasu Hospital is obviously a tiny suburban hospital which I heard that those in Japan had similar staffing issues.

To address this, there’s some advanced practitioner pathways in Australia where certified CT specialists can advise the clinicians of findings almost ASAP. Then again Hirose is only 1st year out so she shouldn’t have that expectation. This is 100% on the ED attending.
