Thank you for the chapter.
Dengeki Maoh is a seinen magazineis this a shonen now
Nah, but was digging through my backlog, must not have noticed. Can't find it on Crunchyroll either.Yeah, were you jobbing up?
Does this mean Humans can cast spells too?
Also surprise german
I thought it was the 'bodyguard' youkai who cast the spell on the schoolteacher.
I think this chapter made it pretty clear that Erika was the one who cast spell on Yamashita. Also, all previous revelations about Azami (coming all from Tsubaki, to be fair) until she showed up noted that she is human, and Azami herself said she needed the bodyguard because she was too weak on her own. Remember that there is no general "if you eat a yokai you got its power" rule existing in either this manga or Yokai mythology. It's very particular for Ningyo that their myth revolves around the effects of eating them. That said, there is nothing preventing this theory from being proven true later, I guess.I assume they're referring to the fact that Azami ...I guess "glamoured" Hinako into believing she was Hinako's aunt; when Hinako checks the text/chat log on her phone, you can see it glitching out in the same manner as that info sheet had when she first learns how Shiori inserted herself into Hinako's school, way back in the story.
And to that - I think the line is that assuming Azami's bodyguard didn't pull that trick, then Azami has eaten monsters since she was turned immortal by Shiori.
There's no express explanation given on what powers Azami absorbed from Shiori's flesh other than immortality, and given she feels extra terrifying to our three monsters present (Tanuki-chan in particular who seems to be sensitive to these sorts of things), I'm wagering she's got a pile of monsters inside her now, and a bunch of powers to boot (like the shapeshifting thing she also showcased) - I'm guessing all for the express purpose of coming after and killing Shiori.
I admit I also just assume Azami is being deceitful, and simply saying she's weak on her own, doesn't mean that's true. That also can imply she's physically weak, hence having a bodyguard; but that she's far from helpless, or doesn't have utility that makes her strong/dangerous in other ways.I think this chapter made it pretty clear that Erika was the one who cast spell on Yamashita. Also, all previous revelations about Azami (coming all from Tsubaki, to be fair) until she showed up noted that she is human, and Azami herself said she needed the bodyguard because she was too weak on her own. It is also worth noting that the term for "spell/magic" in the original Japanese manga is "呪", which could also be—and in fact more often—translated as "curse". This might imply that the mind-altering spell is not supposed to be a good thing to cast on humans, hence Shiori being enraged knowing Azami used it on Hinako. Of course, we would then wonder why it's fine for Shiori and Miko to just use similar curses on everybody.
When will be the next release? Japanese version also have 51 chapters as of now?Surely everybody has been focused enough on the release of the anime's first episode that no one will remember how late I am submitting the translation of this chapter right.
Kinda violent to imagine but reasonableIf it turns out she caued the accident where her family drowned, it won't be mere mince meat: it will be a race betwen fish-girl and fox-girl to see who renders her flesh into molecule-sized chunks first
First appearance is way back where Tsubaki appeared. Idk what chapter but it's on Miko's past arc but before all this, it's on the first chapter acting as Hinako's aunt from Ooshimain which chapter was azami first talked about? anyone knows? i cant remember at all
