If this mob-guy MC-kun (with a woman's name for some reason) still insists that he's "just a gate guard" after beating the LITERAL hero without breaking a sweat, then he's most definitely a retard. Like, eating his pizza with a spoon kind of moron. :shamihuh:

And another annoying thing is that there's even no point for a harem when not only is he dense, he's also clearly simping for the first girl already, completely locking out possibilities for the knight chick.

Not going to lie. That Soul Bond spell is pretty handy with the way you can utilize your harem's feelings.

More harem series need to have something like that.
Heroes are usually powered by Love and Friendship, with the Courage to respawn endlessly until the job is done. It's the Braves that tend to gain through Romance, with all the meanings of the word, whether it be the power of their harem, or the adrenaline spike of impossible battles.

Not sure if the hero is a reincarnator though. It's not clear yet. This might have been the original state of the guy.

He has the power to use the bonds he have with women. So a natural, but twisted outcome is for him to collect women for power.

So having anyone making a move on his allies. He sees it as someone taking his power, authority, and women.
This also presupposes that this world is 1:1 with the game the MC knew previously, and that the game protagonist isn't a blank slate for the player to self-insert with multi-choice dialogue options and set decision trees of actions.

Which, has been an ongoing problem for our manga MC here. He continuously thinks about the world of living, breathing, thinking & feeling people as "3D game avatars" and not as flesh & blood individuals inhabiting a world as real as his original one.

So....what reason is there for "Allen the Hero" to be a carbon reprint of whatever he was in the game, with scripted dialogue and a clear bias toward whatever values would garner the most support from the game's fanbase? If you really think about it - most fantasy action game protagonists are violent murderhobos who slay monsters and bandits for gold and glory, and that sort of job description where everyone sings your praises as you increase your kill count does not make for a healthy mental state of being.

Our MC not realizing that, and treating Allen as some sacred fictionalized ideal and not an actual person, is where he's continuing to go wrong. He wants to pretend this is his favorite game and not get involved, only if he wanted that he needed to fuck off from civilization immediately and fully and adopt a "watch only" policy from a half-continent away. He's fucked it all up and is pretending he hasn't, and he's treating real people like they're pixels following code - including his Oshi, Charlie
In a way, he's almost as bad as Allen, though less outwardly toxic. But he needs to get his head straight immediately about the reality of his situation or he risks fucking things up further.

Assuming the author doesn't let the MC have his cake and eat it too of maintaining his Game Delusion and having consequences simply "work out" in his favor, even if doing so breaks the internal logic of the world.

so I suppose the hero isn't an isekai'er like MC, seems like he was tempted by the great power that comes from having the harem and was desperate to keep it
Allen reminded me of motoyasu the spear hero he's full of bullshit at least motoyasu's character develepmont is great

This was really unsatisfying after reading the WN spoilers.

Like, the "hero" didn't even really get what was coming to him.

I'd guess in the original setting, the harem ending isn't just possible, it might even be the "true" ending that players were supposed to be shooting for.

So Silva wouldn't have batted at eye at Allen being a harem protag, because he's supposed to be.

But Allen's an entitled asshole of a harem protag, and those guys only get happy endings in Norn/Miel/Cybele VNs.

Well, there's the fact that he called the MC a "mob", which is more of a game term. Also how he quoted something the hero said in the climax battle.

I guess it's not guranteed, but I think odds are decent he's reincarnated.

He forced the girls to give him more power via soulbonds. so he is 100% willing to abuse them for power. there is NO love. just a lust and greed for power. he is a selfish prick who has no empathy for his harem. he sees them as his battery. he is no teamplayer for sure.
glad sylvia stopped him right there before it got worse. because i can see Allen pushing the girls to their death while he is shitting in his pants
