Thank you so much for yours' and Muyu's answer, now I understand the early comments talking about a snipe.

You TED talk is greatly appreaciated, and I think I'll give it a shot on another title, I have too many forgotten in the backburner.

I'll reach the other TL group and make sure they don't misunderstand this, they've been doing a good job on this and other series, I'd hate it if this affected them in any way.

Btw, I may or may have not made a program to get Comic Earth Star raws from their website (you still need to get over the paywall, but a new account allows you to get a couple of chapters for free).
That way the raws are the highest quality possible outside of scanning print (at least in this case, since the raws are literally being published by CES).

It’s another snipe. LazyReader said on the last one they'd release it in 2 months so that it’s a full chapter a not a half chapter, which this one is, so it’s not labeled properly.

Fan translators don’t hold exclusive rights to translations, and I did snipe it myself without knowing too. Plus they did not upload a badly done chapter like I did at first.

About the font, I don't really know, it's probably bc I'm mentally deranged and use Krita, the font itself is the basic from dafont.
I'm guessing the Krita font engine is the cause 👾

I wanted to say this when you'd probably see it: I was one of the people talking about sniping when your group showed up, I think your apologies have been decent, and thanks for the good work. I don't know if you still remember or care about anything I said then, but I also want to apologize if anything I said upset you or anyone. I think that previous translator was honestly trying, and when he panicked in response to your chapters I wanted to speak up. It's great to see that people here are being friendly about mistakes with unspoken etiquette, which can be super difficult to navigate, and that everyone seems to be making an honest effort (as honest as anything can be when fan translations are piracy).

The kanjis used to refer to the other head are 相方, which translates to "partner", genderless.
I should've probably used "it" instead, and since I haven't checked the other raws, I don't know if the MC calls the other head by 彼 ("kare") or 彼女 ("kanojo").
I guess my own head completed it to "him" while translating, I'll take notes on that for next times.

If it makes you feel better, the LN does address this and Irushia in the next volume realizes he had been unconsciously treating her as a guy and had forgotten the hermaphrodite part of the description

Yeah, @Fallest, I'd recommend reaching out to them too. I don't know Japanese, but as a reader you did a good job with the update. You also matched their style well enough that I wasn't sure it was a different person, despite your statement that it was your first time.

If this is a series you like and you enjoyed working on it, I think you can collaborate to make a higher quality or at least more consistent translation than would otherwise exist.

It seems the "hero", perhaps through Laplace's suggestion, has decided that the best course of action is not to take any hostage but to attack people. I can understand why; a hostage doesn't really allow him to get away from the dragon since it slows him down and opens him up to retaliation from other people which might be dangerous at his current HP and MP, whereas if he starts injuring people, Irushia will certainly use high restore on them, draining his MP and taking time. Still, I hope he doesn't get away.

Also, it appears Irushia will now be able to communicate with his partner. It's too bad it's getting overlooked in the heat of the moment, so I hope that "hero" can quickly be dealt with. I wonder how his partner will behave when communicating? Perhaps a bit childishly as they've just been born?
