Well on the bright side they both know they weren't stood up and then lose hope of the other person liking them too. Not the ideal ending but far from the worst ending the chapter could have gotten, they should both have the idea that they like each other now based on the fact they both turned up and then rushed out when they realised they got the wrong place, might also lead to being the excuse they need to exchange contact info (I know it won't but it should).
