When our kind scanlator relayed the message from the mangaka that this ending wasn't going to be the result of an axe, did he make sure to check that admission for signs of duress?

If you think about it, Moyupu gave Yumezora the ending she wanted; she died at the peak of happiness almost too quick to notice what had happened.

Gomi was always more grounded, so him dealing with the the aftermath (no matter what happened) was always going to be the price he paid. Was the ride worth the price of admission though? Seems like it.

At a brief point between last chapter and this one, I interpreted Moyupu's actions as partly being "I'm doing you a solid and permanently unraveling you from this succubus" but also "she's mine, not yours". Well, assuming that what we saw was what actually happened (it was, of course, somehow).

I'd have liked for it to go on a little longer . Like she just escaped from a toxic relationship and everything collapsed even before it started . I guess that's what makes this manga different from others similar once but I'm sad it ended so quickly .

I do like the metaphor of how an artist's creations are like their children. A weird and very avant garde ending, but strangely fitting.

The psycho recovering instantly after being stabbed in the heart multiple times, all the way to the handle and twisting type stab, and then turning into the god of death with everything conveniently falling into his lap and murdering her in the most open field in the world is terrible writing.

That is absolute dogshit and I 100% am sure this was planned just some chapters before. Guess the axe was a bit too sudden.
