If the nutritional state of the town is so bad, the people will eventually come for the food. Words won't fill stomachs, and those bullheaded previous lord's subordinates can't offer anything but angry words to anyone. I doubt they will stick long to wild mushrooms and nuts from the forest if the rest of the folks start eating well. They will be begging for forgiveness on their knees, at least figuratively speaking.

That being said, if Agnes needs to bless every single plant in the whole town, it's going to get difficult for her. They need a better solution. Preferably a non-Monsanto solution where the people won't be depending on anyone but their own work.
