Japanese parents can be chill too and JP schools are strict, but not so much that they'd reject you cuz of who you dated. He's in high school going into university. At worst they'd check his permanent record and if he passed the entrance exam. It stops there. They wouldn't be able to know who he's dated or dating. Unless that affects his grades or gets him suspended or something like that.
