Again, that's the point - Chita's feelings don't look like Anna's or Toyoda's and that's part of what she's processing.

We've been shown that Chita's unwilling to lose her relationship with Tokio, this much for sure.

That's what Chita is trying to parse out, if the reason why is b/c somewhere along the way she fell in love with him.

This arc has taken like a year which is why it feels more drawn out than usual. If you speedread the entire story it’s probably more palatable, but she’s just not a very good character who is pulling screen time away from the (better) main relationships.
