I'm not even going to get into the issue of whether the main heroine and hero will become a couple or not. I've seen worse, but I can understand people disliking it, and honestly it still looks like if it happens it'll be quite a while longer.

The one thing I want more of is Kaori. The story seems to be doing something that seems a little rare: it's making her sound like she didn't simply see Reito as a tool to get money from. She's still clearly very shallow and was far too easily swayed by claims of stability and wealth. But when she learned that the "cheap" place he always took her to was actually $500 minimum, her thought wasn't "maybe I made a mistake" or "maybe he was better than I thought" but "maybe I was cruel to say that to him". It's not a huge difference, but it is a difference. It suggests that rather than simply regretting dumping a guy who's clearly wealthy, she instead regrets insulting him for being cheap when he was working so hard for her. She's still got a long way to go, and it's questionable whether she'll make that journey, but I could see her actually giving a sincere apology. And please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying that I think they could or should get back together. For something like that to happen I'd expect at least as much time as anyone here would want before Reito and Karen get together, since she too clearly needs to grow up and demonstrate how she's changed. What I want isn't for her to date him again, but for her to express remorse and contrition and then move on to live the life she made for herself. Preferably without that Katsuki bastard, who clearly doesn't show any signs of that sort of regret or uncertainty. But that's just me and my love of contrition. I'm fine with bad people suffering for their mistakes, but I'd much rather them seek or welcome such suffering as payment for their actions.
