Everyone seems to be saying the next arc is good, but...it's a tournament arc? Tournament arcs are ground zero for "I didn't know how to make a good plot so here's a premade structure for conflict that requires no lead-in development."

Farming in Another World, the laziest story I've ever encountered, is like 50% tournament arcs for that reason.

I guess we'll see, but I'm not optimistic...

I guess I decided to catch up with perfect timing, I was about 25 chapters behind this morning, now I'll plan on staying caught up for now.

Next arc is Ulmutt dungeon arc. Ulmutt tournament is after. Both of them have a sub plot about black cats and different beast races that ties them neatly together. It's a far cry from having a tournament for the sake of having a tournament. Well, the story plots tie together seamlessly but the actual tournament itself is less than a third of the next city's plot.
