There's still more evil to vanquish? :worry:
I thought dealing with her mom meant that the curse is over and the story resolved.

Other reader and watcher (from anime) know that there's some is not resolved yet. For example the the replaced teacher

thank you for the chapter and I'm excited for the next arc. I'm glad to see we aren't ending with this arc... now we get to see how Kaya and Chie will handle situations moving forward after all the exposition in this arc and will the teacher try to keep an eye on or find some way to do so with the newest member of the Satou family just make sure history doesn't repeat itself.
As for the ending of this arc, Kaya defused the baby bomb? I mean it unfolded like I expected it to sensei using talk no jutsu on the manifesting and near ready to detonate Womb-sama while Kaya neutralizes the payload. Yes it results in the "happiest" ending possible and yes the baggage and ramifications of Mirai's actions will be ignored, hand waved, and swept under the rug as it were moving forward, it just seemed that her sudden concern about how Kaya has viewed her throughout the pregnancy/priming of curse wmd 2.0 seemed a bit sudden and forced in at the last moment like an after thought when earlier through out this confrontation Mirai wanted to take Kaya down with her because she was part of the entire Ebisumori bloodline and tied to her earlier failed, thanks gravity and stairs, attempt at revenge womb samaing earlier. She didn't seem to have those objections earlier when she was beckoning her to her, or holding Kaya, or then lifting her above her head like she was recreating a scene from Lion King or getting ready to spike the game winning football. I mean its a decent and solid ending and the ending to be expected a safe and heart warming one. Though a big question I have is now that the baby has been purified is it now a normal baseline baby or will she be like Kaya and therefore there should be some concern that the cycle could resume, whether it be the prior Ebisumori tradition or Mirai's revelation leads to weaponized wombing hobby. But considering how things went between Nana and Mirai there's that chance even if the younger sibling is normal. Hence why the cousin and sensei need to monitor the situation.
I ship sensei with Nana.
Though I guess my question now is was the reason the other kids looked like that in the end photo was do to the shadow and it was merely to highlight that the entity in Kaya is still active and pleased with how things have gone and they were just kids being kids on a picture day or is it the same as with Kaya the shadow revealing how they actually are and everyone else sees them behaving and looking otherwise?

personally, i am not so surprise that kaya was able to exorcice the dark tough of her mother, contrary to mieruko by example, dark thinking or emotion exist and can affect someone, the "many ghost" that we see are potentially not even "ghost" in the general term, by example in chap 31 with the "perfect lady", where the "ghost" of the girl that she bully lets us think she is haunted because she die, when in reality, her victim was in fact completly fine at the end of the chapter, it's not stupid to think that the ressentment that mirai had for year, has possessed her.

for the other kid, i am too curious, i don't remember them in the story before, are they the shadow branch of the ebisumori ? the ennemie of the ennemy of the ebisumori ? can't wait to see where the author lead us.

Personally I felt that the author realized this arc went way too messy and decided to ended it asap. It suffered from too many unnecessary exposition (within merely a couple of chapters too) that could possibly bite her in the ass in future chapters.

Like the whole cord stuff was too much info imo, if she ever decided to revisit the hiruko idea it'll be near impossible without some serious mental gymnastics.

Reading this before I watch EP 12 of the anime. I'm excited to see that this manga will continue. I assume the next arc will be the last since, apparently, Japanese kindergarten is separated by three years of age?🤔

Is it mentioned anywhere whether Kaya's new sibling is a brother or sister? I noticed they look somewhat more like the dad, and with Kaya having exorcised the leech/priestess's spirit, that means its possible the child was born a boy, no?

Kindergarten teacher's work is widely underestimated. Chie-sensei is an amazing teacher...

Wait, it's not the end? Ha-ha, you got me
