I don't find it anti-climatic at all, it ended on a strong statement and in line with the rest of the manga. One might not agree with the statement, but it's far from a blurb or montage of a vague happy ever after or something would would be anti-climatic. Now she's basically a sex maid until she disintegrates, and has no recourse in society at large due to her infamy. So she's stuck with Shuu who proved, albeit less of a disgusting human than a lot of the previous ones, one all the same with no real alternative.

Coincidentally, I was listening to the Chobits OST earlier today. It's so good, so damn catchy. I literally had that happy song "Raison d'etre" stuck in my head the whole time I was reading this awful, depressing manga :dogkek:

I actually really liked the core premise of the story, but the way it played out was pretty stupid.
The robots in this manga were ridiculously dumb. They don’t even know basic things like what a crab is, or general knowledge, human anatomy, or anything about sex. AMU and the other bots basically have the mind of a 10-year-old.
You could argue that they’re just helper maid robots, but then why give them boobs and a vagina? If they’re meant to be sexual, just make them proper sexbots with a mature mindset who can also handle household work. Robots are built to fulfill human needs, and it’s completely normal for people to want sex.
Of course, I’m not defending the psychos in the story — like AMU’s second master or the guy who destroyed Sara. Those characters are awful.
The ending was also disappointing. Funny how the guy who was supposed to be good also turned out to be just like the rest of them. She should have killed him too at the end .

Despite all of that it was captivating till last chapter so it does its job.

Yeah and I did make this account just to rant about this .

Amu should have killed shuu at the end and then destroyed herself. That would have been a much better ending. That She had grown so sick and disgusted by humans that she simply wanted to end it all.
