I am unreasonably annoyed with this manga expecting me to see the main character getting over his childhood crush as some kind of important moment. It's just weird, the woman has a child. Meanwhile narratively most of these characters have barely been developed.

LN desc:

I’m dying, but you still won’t forgive me.

“With half a year remaining――I’m going to die as is.”

Dropping out of college and becoming a NEET, Matsumoto, Shuu, who felt it wasn’t worth living anymore, visited his alma-mater through the invitation of his long time friend, Tomi-san.

That was where he met his childhood friend turned celebrity, Kiriyama, Sayane… The wheel of fate turns for Shuu once again.

A heroine who is lonely despite being a prodigy, a protagonist who strives to become a normal person. Though different from each other, both will be drawn together through the ups and downs of their youth.

So, it's an adaptation from a LN. I guess the LN is better because this feels like it's equal parts oddly half-written with a lot of pointless filler. There's a core underlying story that just feels underdeveloped. I'm not sure that having more chapters would have helped, the writing just needed to be a bit tighter and more focused.
