Hmm… I don’t know why, but I kinda feel like Meg might be a guy here. In the previous chapter, it wasn’t really clear either, since the naked body wasn’t shown clearly enough :pepehmm: and I like MC’s taste here. He’s into the older-sister type, not the loli type.

Yup that's the kind of backstory you expect from a slave girl found in a bandit camp. Good thing the cleric doesn't remember what happened in the cave but I suspect the trauma might come back somehow.

Lewd Luna on the volume cover. She would pull off the hot mummy on Halloween. Kou is really trying to take responsibility and treat her as a proper wife. How nice

No. I believe she was naked and we confirmed its a "she". I do agree with the "not clearly enough". We'll see in the next chapter 100% hopefully.

Still possible Meg is a boy, as we confirmed in the previous chapter, Meg only cared about covering the crotch area from view during the few naked panels we had of Meg, and Meg has never confirmed or denied MC's belief that Meg is a girl - I can't be bothered double-checking, but I think partly because he hasn't ever called Meg "girl" or anything yet, so Meg wouldn't be aware that he thinks Meg is a girl.
If Meg is a boy, I bet we'll find it out during a bath-scene after arriving back at the developing village of MCs, as is typical xD

This MC is like 3 volumes away from being bearable to me. I would love to chat with the author and confirm if he's 100% or 95% a self insert lol.

Crystal clear water in a wasteland desert? Kinda sus... even more so when there is no plants growing around it...

And bathing down stream shouldn't effect the water anymore then it already is, unless it's stagnant or still. Inwhich case take some distance.
I was literally waiting for like a fucking croc or something to pop out from the water :02:

NGL, I was waiting for someone to start gaging or comment on it tasting funny. But instead they said it was sweet. So while I know it's just likely some clear Artesian spring, some small corner of my brain is screaming it's going to be laced with a heavy metal like lead or some diabetic animal's urine

Well, based on the background art, its really not a desert (since there is no sand showcased), its just a rocky Wasteland or a Dryland.

Which is why, even-though there is water nearby, there is no plants, as its hard for plants to grow in rocky areas.

And since there is no pollution around, the water should be clear without issues.

Not to forget, MC is going towards his home currently which is in the Forest.
So, we can assume that the river is probably flowing through the forest as well.
I mean, MC's current home is near an abandon village, and there is no way people would make a village where there is no nearby water supply.

Deserts are not defined by if it has sand or not, but by its climate. Low humidity, dry rocky soil, and hardy drought resistant plants. A desert with a wet season is a beautiful place to behold.

Conversely a wasteland is less about climate and more the condition of the general environment. Baren, dead or no life, minimal plants, insects, and or animals. Usually the result of some (un)natural disaster or environmental hazard.

So while it's likely the village was abandoned due to monster attacks, it could have just as easily been because their water supply was poisoned or formation of the wasteland reduced the population the land could support.

Generally, where there is clean surface water, there typically will be life. Even if only moss growing on the wet stones and animals and insects that feed on it.

Though even with the above being true, that is no guarantee the author/mangaka did the proper research to know these facts.
