The "fluff addict" trope is usually played for laughs in stories like this so I'm really impressed that they actually brought it up as an "bump" in the relationship that they immediately worked out. We sympathize with Goro's fluff mania but we don't really think about what it's like for Kogane to be "used" for her fluff despite all her training to be human.

What I like best about this series is how it takes all of its fantastical elements and brings them down to Earth. Goro is not Kogane's plaything, nor is Kogane Goro's plaything. They are different people with different expectations. While the series rarely gets heavy about it, it reminds us that relationships are not easy or perfect and require a lot of work.
