The thing is, she said "no" multiple times during the interaction, as well asso when he goes from zero to sexual assault it is because there would be precident that it is exactly what she wants from him.
Or, its not sexual assault because he knows that what she wants/likes.
So there's formal evidence of this situation not being what she wants/likes. I mean, it could be the "I know when a woman says no she really means yes" kind of thing with Asahi, but without explicit confirmation of this being the case, that's a very risky assumption to make. As it stands, axed or not axed, there has been no explicit build up to Asahi being into rape-like scenarios. You can't do that...
I do not know how the ending will unfold, but so far I am trying to interact with the manga on its own term and not on the meta terms where I am assuming it was axed and so the author rushes out whatever the conclusion they want to arrive to. 28 chapters is plenty of space to tell a well-concluded story, and I am on board with the author telling their story in as little chapters as that, if that was their intent.Without that precendent being set, this just out of left field, zero prep work, and instead of "MC finally gets over himself and give them both what they want as they both give into shared passion" it comes off as "MC is a rapey POS who just happened to get lucky the girl he got rapey with liked it"
Given how she is pulling him closer and giving him the flushed bedroom eyes as they catch their breaths, (and even laments to Kakeru that she can't be honest about what she wants) its VERY clear she is a "'no' means 'harder'" type of girl. But the MC didn't really have a way to know that that ahead of this chapter. There were some clues a couple chapter back in the shed that's how she likes to get down, but no where near enough.I mean, it could be the "I know when a woman says no she really means yes" kind of thing with Asahi, but without explicit confirmation of this being the case, that's a very risky assumption to make. I don't disagree but they very clearly expected more chapters, or instead of love triangle with Prez and other childhood third-wheel, we would have gotten that needed context building. So instead they had to quickly wrap things up and did so very clumsily.I do not know how the ending will unfold, but so far I am trying to interact with the manga on its own term and not on the meta terms where I am assuming it was axed and so the author rushes out whatever the conclusion they want to arrive to. 28 chapters is plenty of space to tell a well-concluded story, and I am on board with the author telling their story in as little chapters as that, if that was their intent.
And as such, I am graciously giving the author the room to tell a subversive story of a controlling rapey MC I assume they wanted to tell
Yeah, I am not accepting this implication, and I am finding it rather abhorrent. Both in this post and in the previous one, you talk about Asahi beingo into rapey stuff like it's a matter of fact, but the evidence for it is "swoony eyes" and the fact that she hugs him back at one point, and a hypothetical scenario where it was established before that they learned about one another's sexual preferences over a telepatic bond or whatever. But her "swoony eyes" and her going along with it is in no small part - and probably in its entirety - is because the person she loves expresses signs of affection towards her, rapey as they are. Specifically the swoony eyes part, page 15, looks to me like she is expecting a kiss that is not a hickey. And on the other hand, when he escalates and starts unhooking her bra, she tells him to stop a lot more firmly.its just rapey sexual assault and it just so happens she's into it
They spent the previous 24 chapters decidedly not knowing what on the other person's mind. They have some read on one another, but they are two virgins who haven't even made their feelings clear, they are nowhere near knowing each other's sexual preferences. And I mean, a straight up confession isn't always necessary for them to get there, if two characters are close friends who are open with each other about their sexuality, then they might be aware of what they are allowed to do sexually with one another, but there is no way in hell Asahi and Ryo were close enough to talk about what they get off to. And the author made a conscious decision to put this scene before a confession between the two happens.but for fiction you can slide on some of that as they can "know the other person's mind" in a way you can't reliably do so in reality.
Blud, last chapter she was lamenting to Kakeru about how she can't say what she wants. She mounted him in the shed and wasn't too put out when he turned the tables. She's been after him to take control and you see that when he ACTUALLY hits a red line her response is different than the "oh no mmm no senpai we caaaaaan't".Yeah, I am not accepting this implication, and I am finding it rather abhorrent. Yeah, that's what tsunderes and brats are about, and the thing they want isn't neccessarily "fuck me silly"last chapter she was lamenting to Kakeru about how she can't say what she wants
She immediately deescalated when he went on offensive, she was not ready for what was to come. She mounted him in the shed and wasn't too put out when he turned the tables.
Yes, "blud", it is different, it is "You can't do that...".when he ACTUALLY hits a red line her response is different than the "oh no mmm no senpai we caaaaaan't".
...I don't feel like discussing hypotheticals about what the author might have wanted to write maybe probably.Anyway you aren't actually reading my posts because...
I respect your honesty, butdude is horni, so do I.
I'll be honest, you're going to have an extremely difficult time convincing me that a non-trivial portion of the mesugaki correction crowd wants the brat to consent.Because what we have happening here isn't "brat correction". Brat correction would the mesugaki teasing the MC to provoke him into making a move on her via insults, needling, and temptation- which he does to "to shut her up". That is, the "correction" is the Brat is getting what they really want.
This is just a rapey MC sexually assaulting his childhood friend because she was getting close to another guy. She goads him a bit before hand, but it was all about him feeling lonely, nothing that would have egged him on to physically go after her. The appropriate "correction" woudl have been making her out around the festival with him while holding hands so she doesn't "break her promise again", not trying to take off her shirt.
Hah, women. Most Likely since the series was already being axed, she wanted an ending between Asahi and MC, but not really being able to write around the unnecessary drama and tsun between them she created
she resorted to aggressive kdrama like romance leading to MC these last few chapters coming onto her really strong for no reason and acting all obsessive over her out of nowhere.
I respect that she wanted to see the series through, but this was definitely a big miss on her part. I just hope she learns from this and improves as an author in her future works. Cause there’s definitely some decent writing buried underneath all the rubble. That and this seems to be there second story ever…
How did Jamal got into this lmaoBig fella is gonna be on the receiving end of this in prison with some baka named Jamaru

Brat Cleaning
She wanted to be seen as a girl and succeeded too much.
Given how Asahi ... reacted... to being pushed onto the desk and kissed, I think due to Axe-kun we missed some needed build up. There probably were have been some chapters where following the events in the shack it becomes readily apparent that Asahi gets turned on by the MC Physically correcting/going full Shojo Guy on her, so when he goes from zero to sexual assault it is because there would be precident that it is exactly what she wants from him.
Or, its not sexual assault because he knows that what she wants/likes.

I can see the general flow of the story, Asahi and Kakeru collaborate to make the MC realize how he really feels about her, he gets possessive and jealous like she wanted, hot makeouts.
But the author just didn't have the skill or space to actually pull it off.
Wha...Yeah, that's what tsunderes and brats are about, and the thing they want isn't neccessarily "fuck me silly"
