This was a cute chapter, all their cosplays looked great but I'm too uncultured to guess what they're cosplaying

The only thing I could think of is that shinba's cosplay sorta looks like Bridget from guiltygear specifically the older design. Though they're all supposed to be from gacha games.

Also suseri is simply a wolf in sheeps clothing, hiding her true nature behind soberness but hizumi might be just as freaky. Poor shinba was being tossed around like a bartering chip too

This chapter had me cracking up the whole time

It didn’t take long at all for Suseri to revert back to her old self either lol. That switch-up was way too quick, but it also reminds you that no matter how much she tries to act different, that core personality is still very much there.

Orochi was lowkey the MVP though. She completely understood how the girls’ brains work and weaponised that perfectly. They went from being against cosplay to fully committing just because she used Shinba as bait and they fell for it.

And yeah… Shinba cross-dressing might’ve awakened something in Hizumi—or maybe it was always there and this just gave it an outlet. Either way, I can’t even argue with Shinba, Hizumi definitely won the cosplay competition. Aside from the story behind it and catering to his tastes, I think the gap between the cosplay and the way Hizumi acts got me feeling a type of way respectfully

Laughed at the way Hizumi showed her "affection" towards Orochi's ragebaits. That was the most wicked and unhinged "haha..." she showed at the beginning.

Hizumi may have murdered the Onesho-sensei within Suseri... but her ghost comes to possess her when she's drunk lmao.

I'm no good with Gacha shit, so didn't recognize the characters the girls plus Shinba were cosplaying while trying to avoid copyright complaints... haha.

Seens it's the 1st happy xmas Shinba had in his life if we consider the flashback of his 1st job and how he could only eat slices of cake that were at its expiration date in the past... all by himself.

Spoiler from ch. 27.1 & 27.2 Izami, Hizumi's mom entered and became the 1st legit antagonist that could tear them apart. Shinba expressed her intentions w/ Hizumi (marrying her). However, Izami plans to separate them. She's obsessed w/ her daughter to the point she holds a fucking lil nuigurumi of her and is worried about Hizumi not being married yet, expressing how Hizumi was rejected by a "good guy" according to her... but god be damned if a loser ends marrying her dolled up daughter. So adding to the rejection trauma, now we have shit parents wanting to decide for her.Once again Iwaba showing why Ryou Minenami is like some sort of spiritual master to him, the "shit parents" thing come from both Himegoto and Abyss.

Kinda ironic how both of them have terrible moms that have utterly messed up their development as people.
Shinba's mom was neglectful and basically nonexistent to the point where he never truly developed the life skills needed to become a proper adult. Though through dating Hizumi he's resolved to better himself and has made (very very small baby) steps in doing so.

Whereas, at least based off what I've seen in the raws, Hizumi's mom is the polar opposite to where she's so obsessed about her daughter that she was pretty controlling, even to the point where it seems she tried to meddle in her relationships as well. As a result, Hizumi despite how she comes off doesn't really have a sense of confidence in her own ability to maintain a relationship, not to mention her warped personality which probably also stems from a domineering childhood. And its only through dating Shinba that she's starting to grow in that regards.
