She figured out that there would be a confession and instead of letting her goddaughter get heartbroken she told the guy figure it out and to go home. That still isn't yuri. We get a tiny snippet of their interaction that looks more likely for them to simply be friends than anything romantic.

Because if I've learned one thing from manga comments, it's that people will read "OMG YAOI/YURI!" into basically any character interaction.

I actually like her guardian’s intervention. It cuts the shoujo games cause she’s right. Let’s say Emi confesses right then and Yuusei wouldn’t hurt her feelings, so he gives a negative but kind answer. Then Emi feels embarrassed or dejected and starts avoiding Yuusei. Yuusei could finally figure it out but then he needs to confirm if Emi feels the same way and that’s just 20 chapters of misunderstanding or bad timing.

Versus “yo. Go home. Figure it out cause this ain’t it”
