I said it from the beginning that logically WOULD be the development: being able to grow and understand that some people have developed into receivers, but then evolving their relationship to be supported by respect and love; treating one as humans before objects of desire; being willing to mix gender and sexuality; most of all being able to stay honest both in the mundane and the intimate.
The moral being “this started as an out of control car but we saved it from becoming a crash in a 1:100000 scenario” isn’t bad in my opinion. WILL that all happen? I doubt it, but at the very least it’s not a guaranteed trash ending if they go the 5p route.
