That would actually be something i wouldn't expect, would be crazy if it happens but so far japanese authors in these genres have consistently always disappointed me.

No I hear you, and what you're saying is the intuitive thing of "this is very alarming and problematic." You might even expect her to lash out, because it's also infuriating. But having her try to integrate this new information, fail, and basically say "I need like, five. I'mma go over there" does a much better job of conveying to the reader that this has all overwhelmed her ability to make sense of things.
Because the cherry on top is that it's senseless. And that causes her to despair.
She's not saying "boy, you guys sure are dummies for not knowing any better!" She understands that they're fucking monsters, and the fact that they don't seem to get it causes her to say that on top of everything else, they're all also idiots. She then catches herself having allowed her anger at it all to bleed over to include Ueno, the victim, and goes "ah, fuck."
Which is the sound of a boomerang finding its target.

that'd be the best course, let ueno be happy with tsubomi and moka be happy with the dickhead
The only good news in this chapter is that Ueno is moving. Hopefully he’s moving next door to Manaka’s sister where he can get some care and guidance from a real Onee-san.
I think that most people here are confused about what the term “best girl” means… or maybe I’m in fact confused.
Tsubomi only looks good in comparison with the other two bullies. What she did was still messed up and not consensual. It broke Ueno down further than he already was.
If a 3 guys treated a girl like this those guys would be in handcuffs.
Manaka, to me at least, likes Ueno as a friend (or did) and she’s trying really hard to turn it into something romantic but she doesn’t like him that way and she’s also just not ready. Not ready even for a “normal” guy and definitely not for dealing with Ueno’s baggage.
She’s gone way above and beyond, but really look back at those panels… she’s not offering any warmth or empathy whatsoever to Ueno. There was no “I’m sorry that you have been abused like that”, nada.
Also there’s should be no way she’ll join the bullies because Manaka should be cutting ties with all of them and it also wouldn’t surprise me if the bully trio broke up.

Ueno my guy, if you just went with best girl Tsubomi, it literally could’ve been the best route. I’m just saying. Course I’m bias af, always was Tsubomi stand from the beginning but seriously they had the best chemistry together And she ended up genuine and actually likes the real him and it’s not like he’d stagnate his growth, he slowly developed with each ‘practice’. Fuck.
Nah she I think she does have a real romantic feelings for him, otherwise she would have already broken up him, otherwise she would have just gone along with Riku after Ueno lost against him, as always, I'm choosing to believe in Ueno and Moka.
I keep seeing Tsubomi getting alot of support and yea, she's certainly the best choice out of the bully trio but ultimately, she's still not what Ueno wants, the girl he wants is Moka and clearly he's not ready go give up on her and quite frankly, even if the worst happens and Ueno does break up with Moka, whose to say he will even go for Tsubomi?
I think it would be a major misstep if Ueno gets with any of the bully girls and just resumes the bullying treatment, even if Tsubomi is "nice" about it, no, the way I see it if Ueno breaks up with Moka then he should just stay single for the rest of the series and focus on healing himself.
I don’t think Moka would ever go back to her ex. She hates him for what he did to her and all of his gaslighting. I think she just wanted to try to get back in the game and Ueno was a safe option (
100% agree. Tsubomi isn’t insane but she isn’t a good person either. Growing a conscience and feeling guilt doesn’t undo the harm she’s caused.
Kanako doesn’t like guys so she’s got no reason to continue. Tsubomi has learned to feel guilt for the past and I think she knows that she should stay away from Ueno. Chisaki? We don’t know yet what she’s thinking but Ueno’s terrified of her and she’s the worst offender of the group. If Ueno did stay with her though the bully group is going to fall apart… which I think could happen anyway.
