This chapter was a great reminder of what makes Dangers such a great manga, both Kyo and Anna are vain smug people at times, but both want to show that they are genuine to their friends and loved ones. Kyo thinking that the teacher was gonna ask him to do the speech again, and Anna complaining that her speech is gonna suck but she does it perfectly. They fit so great together and bring out the best (and sometimes the worst lol) from each other. I also think that the mini arc we just finish was to help kinda relieve tensions so people not getting to wound for the ending.

I Mean, this manga isnt that unique itself. In the begining yeah it was unique, but later on it became a standard romcom

That's to be expected. A story needs some sort of major event to send it off and what event is more major for students than their graduation? Nothing is wrong for asking for novelty but it has to follow the confines of the story. At first and foremost, this is a school life manga.

Yeah, the whole plotline about Yamada having a role that would require her to kiss a guy just sorta… fizzled out. Maybe Sakurai-sensei was thinking about doing that sort of conflict, but then realized what monsters she would unleash upon the world if she did an NTR tease

Even with the translation, I'm still not sure what Yamada means by that. Is it because of Kyo's unsurpassable speech in the previos year? I have the idea that she saw how hard Kyo worked towards getting into his desired high school to the point of losing sleep and having eye bags, while she got into her high school via referral, like Bayashiko Hanzawa, etc.. Maybe she has this feeling because she wants to be able to work just as hard toward something herself - like becoming a food reporter - and have those efforts bring her a sense that she's finally caught up with the person closest to her (No overworking yourselves this time, please). This reminded me of chapter 163, where Ichikawa had the same feeling.

Dunno, I could be waaaay off but this is another example of why it would be helpful to see her POV thought process, so she can be understood better.

This manga has really morphed from something with at least a little spice and weirdness into the most middle of the road romcom possible. Like, it's fine, it's not bad, I just always chafe at plots that boil down to, "The more normal you are the happier you are," and this series is angling for the maximum normie ending.
