I guess it will be the hard way. The only way I see this end is a stalemate. So either cage Kozumi by making him regenerate continuously (like an eternal burning) or make a deal. that is unless a third party arrives with a solution.

He used shinto magic to separate himself from causality. Therefore, he will ALWAYS exist, and time paradoxes don't work on him anymore. Killing his mom won't do anything because even if she dies, he will still come into existence because he has made the declaration that he WILL exist no matter what the rules of causality says, and causality caved first.

Was this the first weft that Kozumi tried to train himself? As, it's been a while since I read the full series, but why was he trying to create a second version of himself? To cover twice the ground?

Well... we didn't even have to see it used on Shirato to have confirmation... and in a way, it kinda exactly like we suspected, and even "baked in" into the way he achieved Sennin-hood.

But this here is exactly why I don't respect him, it may have been born from it, but this obsession of his is completely devoid of love, even to Hitokotonushi-sama.

What he cares about is solely a "desire"... he truly is a ghoul, going around the flow of time, wreaking havoc without care for what he says he cares about.

when he was with miyo he mentioned court officials wanting their children to train under his apprenticeship, and when reminiscing about ozuno he mentioned many would ask him to train them but lacked geniality, which is why he picked ozuno

He is the child of the oni blacksmith woman and that priest, so technically a "hornless oni".

Officially, he would be just a baseline human, as I don't think the oni trait is inheritable.

I think he simply adopted the "title" in honor of his mother and father.
