The entire start of their marriage was her being physically violent and nagging over everything. He realistically didn't have a choice in this arrangement while she could have just worked on a scholarship or gotten a job. It also doesn't help that the majority of her shining moments are just being a decent human being.
His recent feelings are also unreliable, Himari is right about the advantage of living together but it could also just be stockholm (as the nice moments shine against the usual domestic violence and are becoming more frequent)
(Himari and Shisei aren't approaching things in a healthy way either)

even though i've read the novel pass these chapters, seeing how drawn out it is in the manga. both the main ML and FL are so stupid
Both were at fault at this situation....though yes....if in previous volumes...if akane was struggling and later realized her feelings....same should be shown for him too....one think I like is it comes full circle...it happens for both of them....(I also read the light novel btw)......in that way..this step taken by akane would prove (had proven) beneficial because saito realized his feelings

Gaslighting is too much of a strong word here, imho. They just were saying "you have to step up your game, we know him and we are willing to do things for him that you aren't" and they were not entirely wrong.
Blonde girl is far more open both with her feelings and in wanting to be the person to help MC have a regular and filled with love life...from the outside Akane wasn't putting much effort
Do you want to know what will happen in this particular volume...later on or what...clarify pls

So, I am attaching the drive link of this vol.8 light novel...it is a fan translation(done by Cclaw translations)...Vol. 8 light novel.. this is the link. Also,remember that some things in light novel and manga may be shown differently....I saw some scenes to be minimized or shown quickly..because light novel has definitely more material than manga(raws of this manga...author has completed this volume story wise on official manga site)I think I just want to read it for myself, plus I think you explained it to me before in a previous thread. Please read the author's afterword at the end of light novel...because it will tell author's philosophy and what he wanted to show in the volume..pls keep patience...only then you can enjoy it even better(in any scenerio in particular as well...this link may be blocked by Seven Seas(offical publisher and translator)...if not working tell me....please read it with utmost patience....and look into the positives...(There are some good coloured panels I saw in raws at the end as well...they(and all) coloured panels are too good)

if Volume 9 starts off with another backpedal from Saito after Akane asks him that at the end of Vol 8, I honestly wouldn’t know what to do, lmao
I mean,yeah take it positively....in vol.9 both have feelings for each other......you know when akane realized her feelings for him....same situation will happen in vol.9 but reversed....now saito will get more and more conscious of akane. (It should come for both of them,right?).....there will be some good moments between the main couple look for them...
A confession at the end of vol.9 of light novel (Guess,who makes it...I won't tell..you will know)...just wait for it...good moments will come.......(in vol.8 of light novel...it was nice to see how saito realized what love is...and that all...got somewhat emotional). It is somewhat frustating i can get it.....but when I first read the light novel....i was more frustrated that akane was being too selfless.....almost sacrificing for others...this trait of her will be carried till the last volume....that I should tell you....i mean,it is because of her childhood i don't blame her....
The question now becomes if we can or can't wait till V.9 before dropping it from too much BS...
That would be vol.11 for manga i think....it would really be a great volume....and also the end(of volume) is such that you would definitely want more....and have high expectations...(Such a good volume by the end) keep the expectations low also at that point(the confession will happen at the end of the next upcoming volume i think of they do not change anything,which they won't....vol.12..may be the last volume i think...with the end definitely being marriage
Note: There will be drama still(it is a rom-com,it won't disappear)...just have some patience...author will still use the drama to resolve a particular situation....author likes to take it slow too as well....there will again some very good moments between the main couple in that too...wait for it

Based off what I read in volume 8 of the ln we are just at the start and we are going to have to endure A LOT of frustration before we get the bare minimum pay off at the end of the arc. It’s a grueling slog.

I kinda wish i didn’t discover this series until it was much further along, plus the LN is a pain in the ass to find, so. Ugh. Patience I guess.
