Saito has a poor grasp on his emotions and is traumatized. Akane isn't every emotionally intelligent either and people keep poking at her insecurities.

The blame is on the people surrounding them. Saito's grandpa who just sits on his ass allowing bad actors to torment them, Shisei's mom who keeps emotionally abusing Saito and then acting like she only wants what's best for everyone, Shisei who can't get her head out of her ass and realize what people are doing for her sake, and Himari who is actively trying to cuck her "bestie" while playing the victim.

Both of these mofos need a new social circle, preferably one made of normal people and not rich cunts with megalomania or manipulative hoes.
