Inb4 Tomita fell in love with a girl, and that girl is the first friend Kanon had.
Do we not just assume it starts with "Kanon"? Like if it's Kanon ga suki, it's trivial to make that "Kanon, I love you".Tbh, as the translator, I hope the next sentence really starts with "Ka" in English.
If not, I may have to twist it so that it starts with "Ka" or change the last page of this chapter 😭
I'm pretty sure the TL is hoping that she says that and doest get flustered and backs out of it and says something else...Do we not just assume it starts with "Kanon"? Like if it's Kanon ga suki, it's trivial to make that "Kanon, I love you".
trying is not enough.Guys!! She's trying!!
Uh, ok. You can't do something without trying though. And she's trying to do it, and not staying in her comfort zone, so what's your point rn?trying is not enough.
you have to actually do it.
if everyone decided to stay in their comfort zone, the world would not have anything nice to offer today.

Going halfway what? She's working through her problems the best she can and consistently gaining more confidence the longer this part of the story goes on, just cause she hasn't done it yet doesn't mean she isn't trying, there's just a lot to work through. It's not realistic to expect her to make huge leaps to resolving her issues in only a few days.my point is, she isn't really trying.
she's only going half-way.

I'd be inclined to agree with you, you shouldn't confess your love to someone if you're not emotionally ready for the aftermath. Issue is, the "confession" was blurted out in the middle of a crash out after KANON KISSED HER AND CONFESSED. Saki was trying to confess before that, but she started breaking down when she tried and wasn't going to say it before she was put into a position where backing out like she usually does (Because although she does try to improve, she hasn't been emotionally ready to be honest and usually ends up swallowing her words) would've severely damaged their relationship and so all she could do was be honest. She says right after the fact that she didn't want to say it like this. She wanted to say it, but she sure as hell was not ready, and she knew that as soon as she tried. Ignore my first comment actually, cause now that I think about it, she's been trying to get over her issues for a good while now. There's been a lot that she's wanted and tried to say and it just hasn't been said because she hasn't been ready. But she's a lot closer now to being ready because of all those times that she choked on her own words trying to get them out. With this level of anxiety she's impressive for even doing this much so far. I really don't understand how you can criticize someone for something like this.you'd be right ..
if she hadn't confessed already.
but at this point i'm getting a dejavu here, and i'm tired of argueing with people who think it's perfectly fine to confess, get confirmed feelings, and then demand they need time to process what THEY THEMSELVES INITIATED!!!
no, i'll be chill.
screw Saki.

I think you just hate anything remotely slowburn and are taking it out on any character that you feel impedes romantic progress. You just shouldn't be reading this. Green Yuri catching a stray is CRAZY btw. Bye I guess.uh huh ..
she already confessed over the phone, knowing that Kanon can't hear it.
that's massive red flag number one.
she promised to tell her head on.
she sat right there and prepared to say it, made the promise to say it right there, and then she stalled.
that's massive red flag number two.
Kanon took over because someone has to do something.
even Buddha would lose patience in such a moment, let's be honest.
Saki has been raising massive red flags after that, still.
the fact is, she got the confirmation of mutual feelings and the most honest and most straight forward confession a person could possibly make.
did that improve anything?
no, Saki rejects Kanon instead.
but yeah, let's give Saki room to deal with this.
oh poor, poor Saki, OMG Saki, you need alot of support and alot of help to overcome this, omg Saki you are dealing with so much here!
fuck Kanon, forget about that deaf dummy.
you need to deal with your own huge problems right now Saki.
so go ahead Saki, power to you, take time and recover from this huuuuge and massiiiiive issue that is plagueing you!
you, ezzhead, got this entire thing so damn twisted.
but it's not surprising because your profile picture is from one of the most disgusting and backwards yuri ever made to this day.
i dislike botched slowburns.I think you just hate anything remotely slowburn and are taking it out on any character that you feel impedes romantic progress. You just shouldn't be reading this. Green Yuri catching a stray is CRAZY btw. Bye I guess.
Yeah, read the next part of this chapter (Chapter 51.2). That person's whole argument becomes totally moot and irrelevant./reads above paragraphs
God forbid a teenage manga character having irrational decisions like a real teenager, <_<;;;
Definitely am not agreeing to disagree. How is anyone disregarding Kanon rn? Why would the main focus of conversation even be her emotional state when the arc is centered around Saki right now? We know how she's feeling because of Saki and she's not in emotional turmoil like Saki is. Obviously this situation isn't easy on her either, but that doesn't mean Saki is immediately a coward and a bad person just cause her issues affect Kanon too. Using this logic would villainize basically any character with issues or trauma that other people are involved in. That just makes no sense. And new chapter fucking annihilated your argument too btwi dislike botched slowburns.
you think Saki is fine, you ignore the entire emotional state of Kanon and she must be feeling because of Saki.
that's the part you and many others ignore or forget about.
the manga is still great, Saki just isn't.
agree to disagree.
and yeah, green yuri turned the main girl into a guy, something i won't forgive.
